NATIONAL BOOKDAY FESTIVAL (at Pak-China Friendship Centre)

Pak-China Friendship Centre (پاکستان چین دوستی مرکز)

is an art, conference and exhibition centre in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is developed with the help of China-Pakistan relations. Its construction was started in April 2005 when the Premier of the State Council of the Peopl's Republic of China Wen Jiabao visited Pakistan. Currently it is running by the Ministry of Culture.It comprises on an auditorium with 800 seats, conference rooms, dancing halls, exhibition and art centre. Centre's design was made by China IPPR International Engineering Corporation and constructed by Shanghai Group. Eight conference halls with 200-250 seats, 105 residential rooms and three dancing halls are also being constructed now.

It was inaugurated on December 18, 2010 by the Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

National Book Foundation (NBF)

National Book Foundation was established in 1972 as a service rendering educational welfare organization. It is a statutory Corporation created through an Act of the Parliament in order to make books available at moderate prices. It has its Head Office in Islamabad and Regional Offices at each provincial Headquarters. In addition it has Branch Offices and bookshops. Its management and over all control vests in a Board of Governors. The Federal Education Minister is Chairman of the Board of Governors. The Chief Executive of the organization is the Managing Director.

NATIONAL BOOKDAY FESTIVAL

National Bookday festival was organized by National Book Foundation.The actual idea behind this was to promote reading habit and also the promotion of book culture in our beloved country Pakistan.That's why National Book Foundation celebrating National Bookday Everyday.This National Bookday Festival provides not only provides an opportunity to the book lovers to buy books of various publishers at discount but also provides them a chance to meet with legendary writers, Poets, book publishers, printers and book sellers all under one roof.

Books stalls were inside the building but advertisement boards of some educational institution were displayed on the entrance.

First stall was Pakistan Post stall.Pakistan Post is a state enterprise dedicated to providing wide range of postal products and public services in Pakistan. It is the largest postal service in the country. Its motto is "serving everyone, everyday, everywhere".On this stall i found their official stamps and postal tickets and much more.

National Library Of Pakistan Stall

National Library of Pakistan is a legal depository for all published literary heritage of Pakistan . It serves as top most knowledge resource centre of the nation as well as fountain head of Library developments in the country. The library strives to develop significant collection of human knowledge, comprehensive collection of national literary heritsage and deliver excellent Library services for promotion of knowledge based society in Pakistan .

National Highways & Motorway Police

3rd stall belongs to National Highways and Motorway Police.National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) is a police force in our Country Pakistan that is responsible for enforcement of traffic and safety laws, security and recovery on Pakistan's National Highways and Motorway network. The NH&MP use SUVs, cars and heavy motorbikes for patrolling purposes and uses speed cameras for enforcing speed limits.Provide guidance to general public on this stall.
