Today, November 15th, is National Bundt Day.
This is one of the more commercial days that exist, as it was proclaimed by Nordic Ware, the manufacturer of the Bundt pan, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the pan.
Bundt cakes are cooked in a Bundt pan. The name was trademarked by Nordic ware in the US.
Bundt cakes are descended from a European fruit cake similar to a brioche known as a Gugelhupf. The actual ingredients can vary. Bundt cakes are to a large extent a type of sweet bread.
