Today, October 18th, is National Chocolate Cupcake Day.

Cupcakes are small, individual cakes that are intended to be eaten by one person.

These cakes may be baked in a thin paper or metal cup, or in a muffin tin.

The cupcakes may also be decorated with a variety of different toppings and icing.

Chocolate cupcakes are ones that are, naturally, chocolate flavoured. These are usually chocolate coloured, and may also be topped with chocolate, or have chocolate pieces inside for a total chocolate overdose.

Cocoa powder is often used as the chocolate for the cake itself.
