Today, November 5th, is National Doughnut Appreciation Day (or National Doughnut Day).

Yes, it's another day celebrating the doughnut.

Doughnuts may be associated with the United States in popular culture, but it is apparently Canadians who eat the most and have the most stores per capita.

Here in the UK, we don't have many stores that just sell doughnuts, unlike in the US, Australia and Canada, although they are growing. Instead, they are bought from other retailers, such as supermarkets, bakers, sandwich shops and some restaurants and fast food places.
