Nepali State to Seize All Relief Funds from Bank Accounts ~ Bitcoin News

“The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) issued a circular to A, B and C class banks in the country on Thursday afternoon stating that all the amount deposited in them for the purpose of relief for Saturday’s Great Quake will be automatically transferred to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.”    

     This is a terribly unfortunate development. Time after time aid money sent to disaster areas goes to corrupt officials instead of the suffering people it is intended for. They aren't even hiding it; this is blatant robbery from groups that are already in these areas helping people. Many people will stop donating because no one trusts this money will be used properly.

     I will be urging the few friends I have who have any interest in bitcoin to donate that way instead. Pray even harder for the people of Nepal, the government is going to help them.
