H.S. Brahma, an IAS officer from the 1975 batch of the Andhra Pradesh cadre who was the senior most Election Commissioner has taken charge as the next Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of India on Friday as the term of the former CEC expired on Thursday. Hope, as before, the Election Commission of India will continue to do justice to the democracy of India under his great leadership.
