Meet ÉCU’s new festival partner ‘Early Bird’, a European student film festival. We are delighted to announce that they are now open for submissions. For more details please see below: “EARLY BIRD” EUROPEAN STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL IS OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS (NOVEMBER 2011, SOFIA, BULGARIA) The American Foundation for Bulgaria has the pleasure to invite you to participate in the selection for the program of the 7th Students’ Film Festival EARLY BIRD! “Early Bird” is open for national and European participation. All students from European universities/schools, who have not yet completed their education in film/tv are invited to enter for competition fiction, documentary or animation student films produced in the school. The films sent for selection must be: -Received by AFB by October 15th (Saturday) 2011; -Made during the last two school years 2009/2010 and 2010/2011; -With subtitles in English; -On Beta SP (DVD). Please also send us information via e-mail: synopsis, the team behind the film, annotations, the director’s CV, and pictures of the director and the film. We will use it in the official program of the festival. Profile: “Early Bird” is a gathering of student filmmakers who wish to present their works in front of peers and a European audience, share their knowledge and doubts and who want to challenge the world. The organizers will take care of the accommodation (hotel and meals) for the entire period of the festival for the participating non-Bulgarian schools.
