Nicole Scherzinger doesn’t seem especially cut up about her reported split from Ed Sheeran.

After initial reports that the two musicians were getting close and had even gone on dates to Pizza Express and Sheeran’s local pub (Oh Ed, you charmer), the latest news is that the British singer/songwriter and the former Pussycat Dolls star have split because of the 13-year age gap.

Ed is 24 and Nicole is 37 (although I doubt the age gap would put many other lads off), but a source explained to the Mirror that, “They were never serious and it’s now old news.” So that’s that.

Scherzinger though decided to poke some fun at the whole situation on her Instagram page, giving a short, heartfelt performance of Sheeran’s hit single Thinking Out Loud.

She even added the hashtag laden caption, “#TotesEmosh (Totally Emotional) That @teddysphotos and I broke up today #OrangeIsntTheNewBlackAnymore #ScherzyLosesItAfterSheeranBreakUp #NoMoreSheerzinger”.
