Just a head's up to my fellow Filipino users. MMDA's traffic number coding scheme has been suspended starting today (December 23 2014) to January 4, 2015.

It is not clear why MMDA has suspended the number coding scheme but yours truly would assume that it is give way for citizens who have yet to finish their Christmas activities or have to go home to the provinces.

For those who are not aware, the numbe coding scheme is a solution by the MMDA (the national government's arm on handling traffic situations) to de-saturate heavy traffic in the Metro.

Since the number coding scheme has been suspended from Dec 23 to Jan 9, heavy traffic may be expected.

Lastly, don't let the holiday traffic ruin your holiday cheer.Sure the traffice might be bad enough to make a few motorists scream. But one must always remember, the true essence of the season and enjoy it meaningfully.
