Water

Water makes approximately 70% of the body tissues.Water is also the essential component of the protoplasm.

Impotance

Water is good solvent for many substances.It is the medium through which materials are transported from one part of the body to another. Blood contains water and mixture of other nutrients.It is because of its fluid nature that blood plays its role in the circulation and transports of nutrients within the body. Water works as the regulator in the body because it regulates the body temperature.

Deficency

Its defiency in the body causes dehydration which can be fatal.

Food Starvation:-Food starvation may go on for weeks but if an individual is derived of water,life quickly comes to end.

Losting of water

Daily,two or three litres of water is lost from our body in the form of urine,sweat and breath.This lost of water is compensated by drinking water.However,amount of water required by the human depends upon the activities and environment of the person.

Fibres

Dietry fibres are the ingestible fibres materials present in the diet.

Sorces

Such material is supplied by bread,whole grain cereals,fruits and vegetables

Importance

It gives bulk to the due to which muscles of the intestinal walls can grip and keep the food moving down by parastalysis.

Deficiency

Absence of dietry fibre in diet leads to constipation and related disorders.It can be prevented by taking enough fibres.Thus our daily diet should contain a lot of bread,cereals fruits and vegetables The dietry fibres are important for the healthy intestine.
