So this is my second week back in NY after nearly 6 months in India. Did I get reverse culture shock. No. Did I get jet lag. O yea. So in India specifically Hyderabad it is winter but to a New Yorker it is warm. New York is cold with lots of rain and some snow. Things I miss about India: chai stands (note I didn't see why I'd be drinking hot tea when it is hot outside) now that it is cold I wish there were tea stands everywhere, autos walking in the heat is preferable to walking in the car. Unless you are in NYC there is no flagging down taxis which would make up for lack of autos. Street food again if you are in NYC you will still enjoy it and have variety outside of Chinese and Indian food. Joys of being in NY is being able to drive, organized roads people for the most part obeying traffic rules. Buses come on time or close to it since they kinda run on a schedule. Buses in India though you can still run and hop on a bus that is passing by since most have no doors in Hyderabad. Food is not 5 alarm spicy in general here so no need for curd.
