Surrounded on three sides by water, San Francisco has been literally and figuratively shaped by the ocean. Ocean Beach on the west coast of the city features about 3.5 miles of beaches that make good use of the city’s geography. Ocean Beach is always a good spot to go for a run or clear your mind, and though it’s not always warm, fire pits help warm things up at night.
