Did you guys catch the BCS National Championship Bowl Game last night between the #1 Auburn Tigers and the #2 Oregon Ducks? It was an awesome game between two evenly matched teams that came right down to the wire with an unbelievable Ducks come from behind touch down and two point conversion that was followed right up by a last second game-winning Auburn field-goal.

The game was everything we love about American football, excited crowd, rabid fans, the two best teams in the nation duking it and a last second score for the win!

Besides being a great game to watch, it reminded me of how fun football is to play. I was fortunate enough to be on a small but extremely successful football team when I was in high school. Those three years playing all of those games were some of the best times I had before college.

I'll never forget when I was a sophomore playing defensive end and I realized for the first time in my life (after only watching football before) how much fun defense was! While the quarter backs and other skill players may get most of prominence, in my opinion defense is the most fun side to play on!
