On fire Valencia due at the Camp Nou

Barça face the league's in-form team on Saturday with the visit of Valencia.

Barça will finish off a busy week that’s seen them draw in Seville and win in Paris on Saturday with a La Liga classic when the in-form Valencia visit the Camp Nou. Nuno’s side are fighting Atletico Madrid for third spot and have gone ten games unbeaten in the league, taking 24 points from a possible 30, just one fewer than Barça during that period, scoring 14 and conceding 4 in contrast to Barça’s 30 goals scored and 8 conceded.

Onward march

Valencia’s good run is even more impressive when you consider they’ve lost just once in their last 18 matches, with only Málaga – also the only team to beat Barça in the last 14 games- getting the better of them since Luis Enrique’s side took the points at Mestalla last November.

In week 21 of the league, Barça beat Villarreal 3-2 and were second , four points behind leaders Real Madrid, whilst Valencia’s defeat at Málaga left them in fifth, but the two teams’ great run since then sees them coming into the games as the two form sides, with Barça top and Valencia in fourth.
