You might be aware of the deadly 1993 terror attack in Mumbai in which over 250 people were killed in serial blasts that had shocked the whole world. Yakub Memon, his brother Ibrahim or Tiger Memon, and Dawood Ibrahim were the masterminds of the attacks. They all had been on the run since 1993.  Yakub Memon decided to return to India from Pakistan in 1994, protesting his innocence. He was detained shortly afterwards but it is not clear whether he turned himself in or police arrested him. Since then he is in jail custody. He was found guilty in 2007 of financing the 13 blasts by a Mumbai Court.  He was sentenced to death.  Memon's appeals against his execution were rejected all the way to the Supreme Court and also by the President. So, the final outcome is that he will be hanged and the date of his execution has been fixed on July 30 and ironically the date is his birthday.
