Oprah Winfrey has splashed out almost $30 million on the latest addition to her vast property empire.

The billionaire media maven has reportedly snapped up a 23-acre ranch called Seamair Farm in Montecito (see photos), close to another $85 million estate she owns in the area.

This was the first time in three decades that the equestrian estate, designed by renowned Californian architect Cliff May and one of the largest in Montecito, had been on the market.

The property borders Winfrey's 42-acre "Promised Land" estate, leading some to speculate that Seamair Fair could be used as a guesthouse or to accommodate staff.

Winfrey has been particularly active in the property world lately, selling her long-time apartment in Chicago’s Water Tower Place complex for $4.6 million in November and recently buying a ski chalet in Telluride in Colorado for $14 million—to add to the 60 acres she purchased in that town in 2014. The amenity-rich ski house boasts a private funicular to the mountain and a "wine mine," a 56-foot tunnel that holds 1,600 bottles of wine.
