This is the third week that I´m in Tokyo and I´m really surprised with everything. For one side I´m moving on with our project "GREEN GRASS" and having meetings with the Foreing Relations Ministry People and the Commerce Chamber people in Charge in order to understand in a better way how to proceed and which could be the best steps for this movie. Also I´m knowing a lot of interesting places and learning a lot about the japanese culture, and also trying understand some really different aspects about the daily life here.

And all the time that we are spending here, makes me realize about some interesting topics, one of them is about the "robot" lifestyle that some "salary man" has in this environment. This kind of character lose almost all their personal time because a hard routine in their works, but is not just about that, cause that kind of thing happens all around the globe. The different point here is the loneliness feeling of a lot of people in a city were the lights are always shinning.

Talking and thinking about that, I wrote a short film script in some days and with Carolina Fuentealba (photographer) and Ishizaki Chavetaro (actor); we developed a story to show this in a movie. We decide to use a really documentary style and use the city of Tokyo in all his magnitude. Ishizaki is going to be the main character and we are going to shoot in three days in Nakano, Seibu Shinjuku and Tanashi.

The short film is called "歩" that means "PEON"; we are going to use this name because of the name of the piece of the board game "Shogi", this single piece just have the chance to move one square and always in the same direction.

Tomorrow is our first shooting day and I´m preparing the last details, charging the batteries of the camera and preparing myself to sleep well this night. I´m really exited about this occasion, because this short film really appears suddenly and with almost no money we are going to proceed.
