Pakistan team were always tipped to struggle with the team that they had selected for the tournament. It was obvious that Pakistan's strength was their bowling and our batsmen would have to face the music in the English conditions and still there was no back-up in the batting line-up but two bowlers were taken for the back-up in bowling.

There must have been a extra batsman in the team instead of Asad Ali and Ehsan Adil who were taken un-necessarily and also did not play in the tournament. Imran Farhat's inclusion was always a dilemma and he proved his critics right by failing in the both innings.

There should have been atleast another experienced batsman with Misbah, who would have accompanied him, instead of having inexperienced batting line up which always caused the trouble for Misbah, instead of helping him.

 

For the first time in last 7 ICC events, Pakistan failed to reach the semifinals and this indicated that Pakistan team needed immediate reforms. Pakistan team would have to get back to winning ways soon and would have to start preparing the team for the next big event which is coming up in few months, 2015 World Cup.
