The Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi who was the master mind of the 26/11 Mumbai attack in India in 2008 and was finally arrested by Pakistan under tremendous international pressure exerted jointly by the US and the UN was released on bail by an anti-terror court in Islamabad two days after the massacre on last Tuesday on a school in Peshawar in Pakistan after which Pakistan had promised to root out terror from the country. The government of India strongly protested and Pakistan responded immediately by detaining the deadly terrorist under the Maintenance of Public Order which is a special legal provision. It is to be mentioned here that though LeT is banned by Pakistan it is tacitly supported by its army and hence its founder is still a free man in Pakistan. But now it is reported that the Pakistan government would appeal in the Supreme Court against the bail order. If Pakistan keeps the spirit and is really determined in its mission against terrorism, we can hope that it will succeed in it.
Pakistan- keep it up, we are with you.
