High blood pressure is a silent murderer, since it causes no symptoms for many years, while certain no serious approach toward controlling high blood pressure damaging critical organs, can cause heart attacks, kidney failure, stroke, and can damage the eyes, said Dr. Fawad Farooq, Consultant Cardiologist, the National Institute of cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Karachi.
In a training program organized by the Islamic Pakistan Medical Association (PIMA) and his series of continuing medical education (CME) for physicians and mass, revealed that, according to a WHO report total health expenditure per capita in Pakistan only $ 59, which is very low as compared to India with US $ 132 and $ 148 Sri Lanka.
