Participative theory

Participative leadership theory suggests that the input of the people or the subordinates plays the key role in achieving the standards of the ideal leadership. A leader has to secure the  freedom of expression of all his employees, giving them a right to speak for themselves according to their will. He must let his employees feel to be a part of the decision making so that they can feel empowered.

This will consequently give enough support to the leader and motivate the employees without much effort. A Leader is to value the viewpoint of his employees but he must retain his power of the decision making and must be able to make decision on his own. In addition, he must put his employees under such an impression that they should feel the significance of their participation because  a dictating leader can result in nothing but will lead to demotivation of the overall morale of his people.
