PC010 ST is a plug-in Predator you can drive on the street

It may look like a somewhat squashed Formula 1 race car, but the new PC010 ST is a street-legal hybrid car. Or an all-electric street-legal racer. The main hurdle between you and some zero-emission action will be putting the $20,000 kit car together. You can pay another $3,000 an have Predator's send you a complete car.

Once everything's bolted and ready, what you'll have is an unusual EV or hybrid that can get on up to 60 miles per hour in three seconds and has a top speed of over 180 mph. The hybrid version will have a total range of 280 miles while the EV can go up to 186 miles. The kit comes from Predator's, which says the car will be "100 percent street legal internationally" (we wonder exactly what "internationally" means, since there's almost no way this EV will be licensed in the US...). To do that, Predator's needs at least $100,000 – which it is raising on the crowdfunding site IndieGoGo – so that is can go through the vehicle registration process in the European Union.

The company is hoping for more, of course, which is why there are reward options like a $10,000 life-size car and computer-based racing simulator. Check out all of the options here and see the press release below. The campaign ends February 1, 2015 and the first deliveries are scheduled for June 2015. Predator's released its first model, the gas-powered PC001, at the 2003 Bologna Motor show.
