And the final day had come, yesterday we had the last shooting day of our new shortfilm "PEON". If you want to know more about this short and about the movie itself, please check this links: Day 1 - Day 2 - Day 3 .
This last day was focused on two main points, for one side we made the indoor scenes of the office where the "Salaryman" works and the night scenes where he goes back home in the train.
In the other side we recorded the documentary scenes of the center of Tokyo in two different moments, for one side, the daytime with a lot of movement and people walking in train stations, waiting in traffic lights and many other situations; and also we made documentary night scenes of Tokyo´s Center, but in this occasion we were focused on the lights that appear everywhere when the sun goes down.
I´m really happy, because when I came to Japan, I´ll never thought that we will make a short film and suddenly we discovered that we had and idea, that from that idea we can write an script, then we had the chance to have the equipment and that we want to make it.
I really enjoyed this days working in this city because everything really different from many points of view in the way to proceed in order to make short film in Chile, but also there were many universal things on filmmaking that are the same around the globe and it´s easy to realize when people really love what it´s doing.
The words of Morimoto-san today were a clear example of that: "The director didn´t not know Japanese, I also didn´t know English, but I found some how what he want. The heart of acting is universal!"
This Japanese adventure is almost finishing and I leaned many things about this country, it´s people and why and how they act. Being here all this days was an incredible experience in order to understand more other cultures and also to know how to proceed in the better way in our project Green Grass.
From now the edition process begins and new projects are coming soon in Chile, soon I will let you know more about it!
Thanks again for reading, here I give you some still frames of yesterday cuts.
