In today’s society cheating sometimes doesn’t quite seem as bad to some people as it used to be when I was younger. I just recently met someone who seemed perfect in every way. He was intelligent, handsome, we had the same likes and dislikes and we were sexually compatible in every way but after a long discussion we had in which I expressed my opinion about disliking people who cheated on either their spouses or on people who they are in a committed relationship with he came clean with me and told me that he was actually married but that he was with me because he always felt a need to be with another man. I guess he has had that itch for a while and decided to try scratching it with me. He then asked me if I wanted to continue on, which would have meant we would have ended up in bed. Well, I thanked him for his honesty and then told him that I just could not help a man cheat on his wife and that my decision was about me and how I felt about cheating. I told him that if I was in a committed relationship that I would feel horrible if I found out that I was being cheated on so I couldn’t help him do that to his wife no matter how sexually attractive I found him. So that was the end of something that could have happened but didn’t.

Is it just me or do other people out there feel the same way about cheaters? Do you think that it’s just sex and is nothing to worry about, which is what I think he was thinking or do you feel as I do that there is no excuse for cheating? They say that between 30% to 60% of all married people in the United States will engage in some sort of infidelity and that about one third to one half of all marriages that end in divorce have experience infidelity. That seems like a lot to me and makes me a bit sad. They also say that more women are cheating now then they have in the past. In the past cheating was done more by men on their wives or girlfriends. So, I was just wondering how other people felt on this subject so please feel free to leave a message and let me know your thoughts.
