I am a fresh graduate and Registered Nurse here in the Philippines and after a 4 long years of taking this degree course here I am still seeking for employment. Its really hard to find job or employment here in our country especially when you are a nurse. I remembered what i read last year (2013) in a news paper that almost 200,000 nurses are still looking for a job or unemployed.
Our hospitals here is really lacking for nurses with an average of 1:10 nurse pt. ratio. I don't know why we nurses is still having hard time looking for a job. So every every PH nurses now is planning to work abroad, but we need a minimum of 3 years experience working in a hospital before we can work on the other side of the Globe. The most frustrating point is that for us to get experience we need to pay 60$ every 3 months in a hospital where we are going to work. We are the one who is serving them and still we don't get any single cent but we are the one paying them. I am a Filipino but I hate our system, our government is bunch of corrupt people. I'm still hoping for changes though.
