I watched an airsoft tournament lately held on August 22 and 23 at the Ramon Magsaysay College football field, Davao City. The theme of the tournament was “Inherent Resolve,” wherein eight teams from all over the Philippines took part. The teams came from Cebu, Koronadal City, Davao City and General Santos City, among others. The national tournament was held in conjunction with the Kadayawan Festival in Davao City.

It was the first time that I watched a live airsoft game, and I never had an idea how the game is played. Actually, I only accompanied a friend of mine who has a fascination for the sport. In fact, he is a frustrated soldier or policeman, so his love for this profession turned to airsoft after failing to realize his dream. Before I came to see the game firsthand, I only heard about it before from my younger brother, who is also a fan of airsoft.
