Belgium’s first Bollywood production, partly on location in Bruges 

Bruges (Belgium) is one of the main locations in the much awaited Bollywood film ‘Peekay’ (PK) which runs in Indian cinemas from 19 December. PK is the first Bollywood production that is shot in Belgium. The picturesque centre of Bruges, recognised by UNESCO as world heritage, appeared to be the ideal setting for the production team of Indian director Rajkumar Hirani. PK is a top production, featuring three well-known and acclaimed Bollywood stars Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput. 

In the run-up of the premiere, two music clips will be released which are also shown in the film and which were recorded in Bruges. Watch the ‘making of’ the film in Bruges to the sound of the first clip, the love song ‘Chaar Kadam’.

PK is a romantic love story that tells the tale of an Indian student (Anushka Sharma) who is staying in Bruges for her film studies. One day, she meets the love of her life (Sushant Singh Rajput), but their different backgrounds and origins make for a fraught relationship.  As things are difficult on both a social and family level, the only, and best, solution appears to be to get married.  But this does not go entirely as planned and the girl returns to India …
