Our age is an age of planning. In every country there is planning in education, in 
agriculture, in commerce and in everything else that concern the collective life of the 
people of all the walks of national life in which planning is considered to be necessary , 
the sphere of economy comes first. There is in fact , no country in the world today, which 
has not an economic plan of its own.Broadly speaking , in order to convince about my blog is Economic Planning , means 
utilization of available resources more effectively for well defined objectives during a 
given period of time.

This definition lays stress on three things: use of resources well 
defined objectives , in simple words Economic planning means an over all programmer of 
production and distribution of national wealth . In its character, it may vary from 
country to country .It shows the control of the state over the economy of the country . 
Resources in a country are always less than the needs of the people. So we need careful 
utilization of these resources. We have to decide what and how much is to be produced.We 
have to adopt a balanced growth strategy . For increase in production and growth more 
industries are to be set up .

As th objectives of planning in the interst of the whole 
nation, to achieve full employment , and to reduce the gap between the rich and the poor. 
The ultimate aim of planning is to provide for the people the social services like housing 
, clothing , transport, education should neither be too long nor be too short . Usually , 
plans are to be completed in five years .
