Yup. You read that right. You can actually play chess using your FB messenger. It's real and it's happening! 

So how did i find out about this? Well, in one of my usual facebook feed scrolling sessions, someone happened to share an album about Facts and since i was pretty bored, i decided to check out the entire album. Now i can't really testify about the validity of it all but some of the items are in the news.

Then i read about this hidden fbmessenger function. At first i was like, "is this real?" so i opened the app and followed the instructions and voila, a chess board appeared!

In order for you to be able to play it, you have to type in @fbchess play. The chess board, like above, will appear. Now how do you actually play? just type in @fbchess help and it will give you the instructions on how to make moves on the board.

As of writing, me and my friend just started playing. We're both still getting used to the commands and i'm sure in time, we'll be able to play well.
