FAISALABAD: Police on Friday registered a case against three sons of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MNA Mian Farooq and five other unknown persons for allegedly raping a girl.

 

According to details, the victim herself moved a complaint before the Madina Town police in which she alleged that Muazzam Farooq, former chairman Zila Council Faisalabad, his two brothers Saad Farooq, Qasim Farooq and five others harassed her.

The complainant mentioned to have identified the accused Muazzam, Saad and Qasim but doesn’t know the other five persons; however, she claimed that she can also identify them if brought before her.

 

SHO Madina Town police station Farukh Waheed told Express media representatives “In the medical examination of the victim it was confirmed that she had been gang raped. However, a DNA test will establish whether or not the alleged persons have committed the crime.”

Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad Dr Sohail Habib Tajik has formed a committee under the supervision of SP Madina Town Nasir Sial to probe the incident. “If it was proved that the alleged persons were involved in the gang rape, the police will not hesitate to proceed against them in accordance with law, said Tajik.
