As I write this article, press reports suggest that poor lady in Sukkur attempted suicide with her five daughters due to food shortages and the miserable financial conditions. This is a strong commentary on society where pets of a rich man eat food which a poor man is deprived of. In Pakistan resource allocation is not correct. Effect Trickledown resource is absent because the poor get poorer. Pakistan is the sixth most populous country in the world. In 1960 its population was 45.9 million, while in 2014 is 188 800 000. Currently the growth rate in Pakistan is 2.2 percent, while world population of 7 billion, but if the same growth rate continues, estimates are that reach 14 billion in the next century. Pakistan had 2.6 percent growth rate in the 1990s and was the highest among the world. Now it is 2.2 percent and is still one of the most densely populated countries in the world. That is a burning reason why we have failed to achieve the Millennium Development Goals. Over population leads to an increasing rate of poverty and hunger. Land Resources are limited to day every day. Overpopulation is a big risk. So far this serious problem has been neglected by many mainstream political parties. It is a great challenge and soon we realize the importance of addressing this issue, the better it would be in the interest of Pakistan.
Over population in Pakistan
When the sources of country are far from meeting the needs of the people, the result is overpopulation. Among the reasons responsible for overpopulation include low income per, food shortages, unemployment by. The cultural and religious resistance to test the child's birth are also potent factors in causing overcrowding in Pakistan. Early marriages under gab between children, avoidance methods of birth control, savings rates have lower house, low economic growth and rising number of unemployed youth are also some of the factors responsible for this state of affairs. Housing is another major concern. People are forced to live in crowded homes. Sanitation problem is because houses are being built at a faster pace. Problems in the sewer system arise due to this bad sanitation in new housing. The end result causes such as heart disease and cancer, etc. The housing shortage is forcing people to cut trees. Thus, the contamination problem becomes more severe because of the rapid deforestation. This leads to the displacement of wildlife.
Creates pollution problem of congested traffic on the roads. Over population causes a serious obstacle to environmental sustainability and leads to deterioration of living standards. Natural resources are also reduced due to increased consumption and the balance of supply and demand gets greatly suffered. Overcrowding creates air, water and noise pollution problems and leads to a decrease in the rate of saving and investment in a country. Overcrowding, natural resource depletion and environmental degradation, all are real threats to our future for which serious and concerted efforts are needed at the national and individual levels. Higher living standards, better health technology and better economic conditions of families helped in the fall of mortality rates in the developed world. The same is true of Pakistan, the birth rate was reduced due to improved immunization services and health, but more people added to multiple problems such as high growth rates put
many pressures on food security. The other predicaments include environmental risks, urbanization and poor infrastructure of education, health, less secure supply of potable water, sewage disposal, etc.
Over population in Pakistan
A renowned American author, Dan Brown says, "Cancer is no more than a healthy cell begins to multiply out of control" Henry Bergson even went so far as to say that "If the auto reproduction of man is rationalized, we war ". Although Pakistan is an agricultural land but 25 percent of the land is arable Pakistan. Huge population is consuming the sources and the future is increasingly alarming. If the same rate of population continued government efforts would also be unable to deliver results and would not be able to give everyone a decent life. This can not continue to generate more resources and improving infrastructure. There is a lack of planning. Due to the huge population of NGOs are also unable to work. The output is possible if civil society works in partnership with political parties and local government. The low overall rate of education hinders bring any positive feed backs. There is a question raised by some people that if most of the population is a problem for Pakistan then it should be the same in India and Bangladesh. But they are devising methods to combat this problem. A case study of a lady health worker in Bangladesh, Tasleema revealed that she went door to door and offered advice, moral support and a range of contraceptives and thus helped to raise awareness among rural women to limit number of children for better parenting. This small step and many of its class over time have played an effective role in improving life in Bangla Desh and the growth rate greatly reduced. Reproductive Health Services Centers can help create waking between couples about the difficulties in raising extended families. It is also suggested that population control should be part of the programs of political parties, along with other priorities. Highly effective family planning programs must be insured by the government. The causes of overpopulation be addressed. There is a need to develop strategies. Strategies of social and economic sectors should be advanced.
If women have the power and education, access to health care is guaranteed and sustainable economic growth can be secured. Also early marriages should be discouraged. The political will to meet this challenge is required. Effective media campaigns can help family planning programs to help create awareness among the semi-educated people to take advantage of a restricted family. Again the emphasis on socio-religious aspects. Many people take more children as a gift of God and believe that He would generate resources for them. There is a need to convince them that if they have more children and a limited income then your parenting would be strictly concerned, therefore, have to get more rational. A study implies that "According to the static, Pakistan has one of the most interesting demographic characteristics. It has one of the world's largest youth, with 48 percent of the population aged between 15 and 49 while 56 percent of the population is between 15 and 64. "effective policies can convert large population in a large economy and a good opportunity and make Pakistan an economic engine for the region. What is needed is a better and proper management of human resources. However, if we are unable to pay due attention to this great resource, then it can become a burden on the economy. Number of people should be in harmony with the territory. It is even said that democracy can not survive in the presence of excess population and if we want to live with human dignity and decency that we have to bring a balance.
