Tonkatsu is a breaded pork dish made famous in Japan. It is found in restaurant menus and in the Japanese home cooking.
As expected the tonkatsu with the slight fat content was tastier than the one without. Still, the one without fat wasn’t dry despite being lean, so that was nice. Both were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.
The pork cutlets came with a tonkatsu sauce that had a strong Worcestershire zing and sweet taste which perked up the palate. There was also some salad that came with the tonkatsu and two dressings to choose from. One was sesame and the other was something tangy that didn’t taste so good. So I’d stick with the sesame dressing.
