Porsche Cayman is a sports car produced by the legendary Porsche AG, based in Germany. This luxury car was first introduced in the year 2006. As far as the genre of the car is concerned, it’s a two door coupe, which has its pedigree back to Boxster, a convertible car launched earlier by Porsche. It’s basically a mid engine, two-seater, rear wheel drive sports car. The design of the car is brainchild of designer Pinky Lai, an automotive designer working with Porsche AG. There are two variants of this car model by Porsche, Cayman and Cayman S. They come with a price tag of $51,400 and $61,500 respectively. But the special edition Cayman S comes with a higher price tag, around $69,900. In 2009 the company introduced, Cayman R, which is mostly based on the design of Cayman S. Cayman S was released after two years of rigorous research and development work by the German car maker and the concept was made public through official press release in May 2005.
