Post-production experience

I had made a realisation after a professional practice lecture i had attended. It was industry visit day and it really had opened my eyes to the potential jobs out there. Regardless of where i work i know there will be a position i like, i just have to experience it and get a feel of what i'm doing. At the moment I'm keen on all areas of work. I know i like the lighting role and I also have a keen interest in post-production as well as producing.

The reason I'm interested in post-production really was the industry talks day. An ex student of the university, Sara murphy, came in and spoke to us about her job at the farm. I noted all of this down and looked it up when i got home. I really enjoy post as it is, making an edit flow and correcting the colour to match it to the right style and theme of the film.

I feel i may make a good producer because i can make things happen. Although i may be shy sometimes, i feel the more experience i get with something the better i'll be. i rarely forget about things and i can keep control of a situation. I definitely think this is a job that, for me, will be a goal. I know i'll have to work towards it and maybe starting as a production assistant may assist me with this. So finding experience in that area may benefit me and is something i will pursue to look for.
