Prayer in religion

Posted on at

Prayer is a religious activity. Every religion of the world has its own ways to prayer. The Muslims bow to Allah Almighty in the mosques. The Christians gather in the churches for prayers. The Hindus go to temples for prayer. Thus every human prays to God one way or the other.

In Islam prayer is very important. It is a religious obligation of every Muslim to say prayer five times a day. The first question on the day of judgement would be about one’s prayer. Therefore we should say our prayer regularly.

The prayer has many advantages. It gives us mental satisfaction and enlivens our soul. It teaches us to be clean and virtuous. But we should also learn the meaning of words of prayer. It would help us to learn the habit of concentration. The Muslims meet one another five times a day in the mosques.

In this way they come to know about the circumstances of each other. This helps them to develop the better social system. It also promotes love among them. This is probably the real meaning of prayers. Perhaps this is motive that they have been asked to say their prayers in a mosques instead of that their homes.
