JEDDAH: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said the present government had broken the record of incompetence set by the government of Asif Ali Zardari.
Speaking to reporters here, Khan said the government was trying to form a judicial commission without any authority.
Khan added he hoped the 2013 elections would be free and fair, however they turned out to be the most controversial.
According to Khan all parties in Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab had accepted that rigging had taken place during the elections. “It is regretful that there are delays in forming the judicial commission.”
The PTI chairman alleged that former Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had tried to hide rigging. “No other judge has disappointed me as much as Iftikhar Chaudhry.”
Khan stressed that an independent media and judiciary were essential for democracy.
Imran Khan said funds were being collected for the Shaukhat Khanum Hospital in Peshawar which would be completed this year.
