PRESS DAYS S/S 14 | VOLT MAGAZINE Stay printed.

Posted on at

Inspired by the sun VOLT Magazine went out to the press days for the Spring/Summer collections 2014 all around in London. We would like to give a little glimpse of what is leading the fashion for next summer. In general you can see a trend for using significant fabrics as creamy silk, organic cotton and linen but as well smooth leather. In contrast to the materials there is a common sense for detailed and striking prints. To name one of the talents, David Longshaw´s playful yet chic pieces are based on his illustrations, which have a seasonal character for every collection. The combination of feminin shapes and colorful prints has the ability to tell stories. Still led by striking motifs Keshi Fashion PR embodied the underground fashion of East London. From Nympha you could see the strong focus on leather clothes. The jackets, pants and skirts are hand-painted with bright colours and are revealing a sense of hedonism. The feeling of enjoying summer is omnipresent and the cherry on the cake are accessories from JuJu Shoes, Quay eyewear, self-made prints from Jr Liberty. We are curios about the diversity you can see in the collections – black in summer, narrative skull-jewelleries and casual but smart pieces. And if you don´t want to wait for the summer we can really recommend a new place in Shoreditch (Redchurch Street) called Cheeky Parlour, where you definetely get balm for your soul with a nail-treatment or a hair-blow. Just take a number and lean back in that cosy place with a proper coffee or healthy snacks.
