According to an advisor to the Iraqi government on ISIS, immediately after the injury of their leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, who was injured in US air strikes on Western Iraq last month, the ISIS had appointed a former physics teacher Abu Alaa Afri as his temporary replacement. Now it is learnt that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi has succumbed to his injuries, so it seems that Abu Alaa Afri has become the automatic choice of the terror group as their new leader.
