‏( ﻟَﺌِﻦْ ﺷَﻜَﺮْﺗُﻢْ ﻟَﺄَﺯِﻳﺪَﻧَّﻜُﻢْ ۖ ﻭَﻟَﺌِﻦْ ﻛَﻔَﺮْﺗُﻢْ ﺇِﻥَّ ﻋَﺬَﺍﺑِﻲ ﻟَﺸَﺪِﻳﺪٌ ‏) ‏) سورة إبراهيم الاية 7

And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed,If you are grateful, I will surely increase you (in favor); but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.' "

As we open the Quran, the first chapter starts with ‘الحمد لله ’ which is generally translated as “all praise is for Allah .” In reality, the word الحمد لله
signifies gratitude in our everyday
lives. Hence, when someone asks how we are,Muslim often respond with, الحمد لله similarly, Islam teaches us to be thankful throughout the day: for waking up from sleep,after eating our meals, drinking water, etc. In this
way, one’s entire life revolves around gratitude to Allah .
