I am ready for the winter weather. There is a lot about winter that I don't like, but I am ready for the fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, to go away. I am ready for sleeping in a cold room under a thick quilt. I am ready for hot chocolate by a fire in the yard. I am ready for sweaters, sneakers and socks.

I do not want icy roads. I feel sorry for my little dog that has to go outside, even when I put on her sweater, she is cold. I don't like high heat bills.

I am ready for baking pies. I am ready for holiday shopping and cooking. I am ready for Christmas Carols and the magic in the kids eyes. I am ready for my grandkids to come stay with me during winter break and parades and homemade chili and corn bread.

All in all the good out weighs the bad...so bring it on Jack Frost!
