안녕하세요 annyeonghaseyo! everyone! NellShaOza here! I'm back with another blog about food, Ready to take a bite! After a bunch of Movie Reviews (Visit my blogs) I decided to blog about Samgyeopsal, What it is, How it was made,How it is eaten and of course I'm going to state some of the Samgyeopsal Restaurant I've been. I've decided to make a blog about this because I am fond of eating samgyeopsal, and I am active in this restaurant for about 2 months from now. Excuse first for the people who doesn't eat pork, This is just for now. So as what I always says, Sit back, relax and enjoy the Korean Samgyeopsal madness ~
WHAT IS SAMGYEOPSAL?
Samgyeopsal (삼겹살; Korean pronunciation: [sʰamɡjʌps͈al]) is a popular Korean dish that is commonly served as an evening meal. It consists of thick, fatty slices of pork belly meat. The meat, usually neither marinated nor seasoned, is cooked on a grill at the diners' table.

This Side Dishes doesn't accurately the same with the given side dishes above but it is the best way to compare with it.
One of my favorite Side dish is the Lettuce with Kimchi sauce (I don't know the Korean name of this) I used to mixed it with cut pork or the whole slice of pork, Heaven ~
The Egg Omelette is something to look for, even it is the simplest side dish. I still love mixing it with some spicy kimchi. Mouthwatering ~
and One thing, The Korean Noodles with Special Sauce, Argh ~ it's best when waiting for the pork to be cooked, It has this sticky but delicious taste that compliments the other side dishes.
START WITH THE BASIC
When the server lights up the stove Tick! This is the moment where you will know that the next couple of minutes would be Frying, Waiting, Eating, Experimenting, Mixing and of course Frying again. Let's start with the pretty basic steps of eating Samgyeop/Samgyup.
1. Fry the Pork Belly/Beef/ or any kind of desire meat, Add some Garlic, pepper, salt and any spices.

Don't fried it into golden brown and crispy! Nope. You won't taste the pork and appreciate it. You should just Half cooked the pork and set aside for the oil to ease down a little. We've been doing this and whenever we ate, We enjoyed our food. Good Pork/Beef, Good Food.
Personally, I'm not fond of putting some salt and pepper, I only trust the garlic scent and I can bare eating it.
2. Lettuce, Pork, Sauce and What you desire to put.

How to prepare the ssam at the table:
1. Place a lettuce leave in one hand.
2. Add a small spoonful of rice.
3. Dip the cooked samgyeopsal into the salt & pepper dipping sauce and place it on top of the rice.
4. Add a small amount of ssamjang.
5. Wrap into a parcel small enough to be consumed in a single biteThis is a alternative, You may add rice if you want and this is called Ssam.
This is the most delicious and exciting phase of Samgyeopsal, You are free to put whatever you want to put in your desire amount. The Pork should be present, The sauce, Some side dish like Toge, Kimchi and everything.
Me and My Friends can ate 2 kilos of pork in one seating, 3 bowl of Lettuce and of course, 6-7 repeating order of side dishes. cause it's unlimited! and delicious! (For some Samgyupsal Resto they don't offer Unlimited food but their food is undeniably delightful)
FAMILIAR SAMGYEOP EXPERIENCE
1. Mr Kimchi
Kimchi is a staple in Korean cuisine, is a traditional side dish made from salted and fermented vegetables, most commonly napa cabbage and Korean radishes, with a variety of seasonings including chili powder, scallions, garlic, ginger, and jeotgal (salted seafood)
There are hundreds of varieties of kimchi made with different vegetables as the main ingredients. In traditional preparations, kimchi was stored underground in jars to keep cool, and unfrozen during the winter months. These days, kimchi refrigerators are used instead.
But Mr. Kimchi is a Korean Samgyeopsal Restaurant here in the Philippines, They don't just serves one kind of kimchi but also the variety of this. Not Just Kimchi but also Food like Belly Pork Dishes, Sushi dishes, Ramen, Noodles and many more.
Here in our place, Mr. Kimchi has two branches. It is 20 minutes away from each other. I already tried the both of them and the Dela Paz San Fernando Branch is the one for me. The Staff are very accommodating, The place is very fun to eat, Dishes are fresh and pork is on quality.

2. Unlimited Samgyeopsal Buffet/ I Love Samgyupsal
I never tried eating in a Samgyeopsal Buffet but as what I heard with my friends experience, A lot of dishes related to korean food is inclusive in the buffet, Korean Salad is present, Fried rice with korean twist, Chicken wings (spicy, butter, garlic and so much more, Like in Bon chon which is a korean restaurant that serve chicken and different side dishes that is not available in some restaurant.
It's like you have a lot of variation that would satisfy each and everyone taste, Unlike to the fixed side dishes in one ordering, you can have different kinds here and of course unlimited till you drop your tummy. ~

I love the concept they have here, You can choose whatever you want to eat and there's a lot of choices! ( like what I've stated a while ago) I would really try eating here next month and I'll update you via Bitlanders posts (Pictures, videos, microblog) Luckily, 'I love samgyupsal' has two branches here in the area of Sindalan,Pampanga, and it is just walking distance from our university! and another samgyupsal branch, just one jeepney away. So that's answer the question why I always eat samgyupsal and blog about it.
Health Benefits ~
The difference between Korean pork belly culture and American bacon fixation is that a lot of Koreans tend to think of pork belly as health food -- perhaps not health food in the way that bracken ferns are health food, but as a magic..
When I first heard Samgyeopsal, Korean Food automatically rings in me. Korean Food never failed to amazed us, The Samgyeopsal for me is a complete meal that balances nature and human desire. Can you believe what the pork they used can do to us?
Pork belly has a protein-rich substance that clears the skin
So when we say koreans, they have Healthy and light skins and Good complexion. The food they eat is surely balance and has an antioxidant that explains their complexion.
Protects the liver and detoxifies the lungs,

Even cleanses the system of cholesterol.
Now I understand what a PORK BELLY can gave to our body. Can you believe it? Now anyone can eat it but still in moderation, and that's the reason why most Korean dishes is compose of Pork, not just pork but Pork bellly.
