[RECIPE] Food for the Gods Posted on 06 October 2014 at 18:32 FOOD FOR THE GODS Ingredients 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup butter 1 1/2 cups dark brown sugar 1/2 cup white sugar 3 eggs 1 cup dates 1 cup walnuts Instructions Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside. Melt together butter and the two sugars. Cool first before proceeding with the next step. Add the eggs one at a time. Fold in date and walnuts. Add flour to the batter, mix until just combined. Pour batter over a lined 9x13 pan and bake at 350F for 40 -45 mins or until done. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
