I thought I'd create this as a heads up, currently we have about "5" upcoming Resident Evil/Biohazard related projects at least coming out starting this year up until 2017, we have three games, one stage play and one certain movie that is going to feature Rebecca Chambers for the first time after Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 and it's also her first time appearing in a CG Movie and after such a long time (15 years would have past since the release of Zero and the upcoming CGI Film). She is also featured in the stage play. Will the following years starting this year, be the "Age of Resident Evil" once again?
Games:
- Resident Evil 0: HD Remaster (Early 2016)
- Resident Evil 2 (remake) (2017)
- Umbrella Corps

The World of Resident Evil has many characters Heroes and Villans that many people have grown up playing as them or with them, the resident evil franchise is exstensive and many fans have either grown up with the series playing them since the 90's while others are late bloomers who got into the franchise a little later on. i myself got into the series in 2004 my first game was Resident Evil Remake on the Gamecube. never the less im going to announce my top ten resident evil characters you may agree or completely disagree with my list and that's fine im happy to see your opinions.
Here are a few honourable mentions of characters that did not make my list but are iconic and deserve to be mentioned.

Number 5 - Resident Evil Directors Cut
Resident Evil Directors cut is the game that started it all and helped create some unforgetable moments for all resident evil and survival horror fans alike, who could forgot the terror they felt when the first zombie is found eating one of your team members and then turns around to face you, you can say you didn't bolt from your chair when you ra…

We expected the Remake of Resident Evil 2 after many, many years of waiting and pledging Capcom...
Inspired by the effort of Rod Lima, a youtuber who used Resident Evil model, re-write the game as an unofficial Remake and also the Invader game. Personaly, I prefer Rod Lima version more than the latter because he knows what aspects of modern Resident Evil he should add without interfering too much on game story.
About how should the Remake of Resident Evil 2 feature, I expected some of my feature below to be in the game
People usually sick of the overuse of QTE in Resident Evil 6... But I would like the QTE in Resident Evil 2 feature in the same way that Resident Evil 3 Live Selection. Depend on the QTE choice of players, different path will b…

So i want to ask yous all, which character (from the Anderson versions of the series) was your fave and which character did surprise you when they died or made you angry at Anderson for killing them off in the series.
Alice is my fave character, only because she is one of the many few that actually bonded with the t-virus like Angela Ashford did.
- She is a perfect female role model for us women out there
- she can kick ass when she is helping out destroy umbrella
- like she can be protective when it is needed.
- she is a perfect adopted mother to children she finds along the way,
- like she is 100% awesome
Because she is would be hunting those who harm her and her loved ones, like umbrella. Albert Wesker is on another level, he is helping out but also loo…

For Capcom’s 20th anniversary of the Resident Evil/biohazard franchise, the new title Umbrella Corps(Biohazard Umbrella Corps in Japan) was announced. I was not surprised to see the majority of comments across Resident Evil USA’s facebook page and youtube were outright negative. Many of the comments can be summed up as;
- “Too much action, don’t like it.”
- “But why?”
- “This won’t make any time and money”
- “Nobody plays these”
- "This isn’t what fans want"
While much of the criticism is simply dissatisfaction they are unlike the old games, there also seems a lack of understanding the Japanese market and knowledge of Capcom’s sales history. This game is the next natural step because this is an adaption of the social/arcade format, and because action orient…

I was playing through and beat Jake & Sherry's compaign and noticed that each of the campaigns ended like the first three games and in order.
Leon & Helena - Rocket launcher blast to the enemy.
Chris & Piers - Explosion killing creature.
Jake & Sherry - Final blows with a magnum and explosion.
Anyone else notice this? Not sure if Ada's mirrors anything.

With the release of the remasters, people keep complaining that it appears Capcom isn’t listening to fans because they haven’t done a RE2 remake. However, many of these complaints are not valid because many people are not familiar as with Capcom’s history, what sales actually show, and how game development works as they think they are. We have yet to see a RE2 remake because the first remake had good reasons to be made, sales trends does not show support for one, and remasters and remakes are not the same, therefore not related to Capcom’s recent releases and plans.
There were reasons for the first game to be remade. Some of the content planned did not make it into the game. Most notable, the Trevor family story line. The book BIO HAZARD The…

Until the 28th (two days from now at the time of posting) you can get a number of Capcom games at reduced price on the 3DS and Wii U E shops. While that doesn't sound like it's relevant, it includes RE titles. the 3DS has Revelations at 55% off and The Mercenaries 3D at 60% off. The Wii U version of Revelations is also on sale. Right now I'd buy The Mercenaries 3D since it probably isn't worth the $20 US price tag it has. It's a fun game, but the lack of content makes buying it full price redundant. It's $7.99 US right now. It's a digital download of course so you'll need space on your 3DS's SD card or a new SD card to store it on. It uses 4713 blocks of memory. The easiest way to find it without doing a search is to go on the 3DS's Eshop'…

So after the raid mode patch apparently Single player got broken. Special weapons you recieve as rewards can potentially duplicate themselves several times. I'm not sure what causes it, but I think repeatedly dying before looking at them in your workbench has something to do with it. Of course this is only a theory.
Anyway you can read about reports of it here www.gamefaqs.com/boards/835626-resident-evil-revelations-2/71706914
As you can see, the glitch can be unstable at times. I've experimented with it before and my trials have got different results. Apparently, the order of moving weapons around in the workbench after they've been duplicated can have different effects. You can have weapons and parts deleted (if a weapon disappears …

Abandoning list due to my overall lack of detailed knowledge on the subject. Here is another blog post that I felt would be inappropriate on the wiki at large. While there is a Resident Evil 1.5 article and other beta materials, creating exclusive room articles is a slippery slope for a number of reasons. Therefore, this blog post should be seen as a collection of would-be articles for the "1.5" prototype build of Resident Evil 2.
I will provide accurate transcriptions and high quality screenshots of the script and will attempt to translate some simple phrases. However, please note that I am not trained or fluent in the Japanese language and that my translations may only reflect enough of these scenes to give an extre…

Since both Chris and Jill are playable in both crossover games, Project X Zone and it's upcoming sequel Project X Zone 2.
I have a fanon fic called Powers and Fists: Operation Time Zone which is based of the actual game. Instead both characters in their Revelations outfit, I made both Chris and Jill wearing in their current appearance of the game. Chris in his Lanshiang outfit and Jill in her Resident Evil 5 in Wesker's Control but being aided by Frank West from Dead Rising in his primary outfit rather than the ones he wore in the actual crossover game looking for team partner, Hsien-Ko. I was happy that other readers read my fic and I have 11 favorites and 3 follows. If anyone is interested reading it here's the link and it's the sequel to…

I didn't think it was totally appropriate to make an article for this, but I felt the need to share. I was playing through the leaked Beta 2 today and when I got to the Panel Room in the "B" scenario, I found a file waiting for me instead of the usual F. Aid Spray. There were a lot of peculiar things in the playthrough, but this was the most unique in my opinion. Here's a transcription with screenshots provided below:

Hello, Resident Evil fans. This will be a special event, call it a prelude of things to come. The next upcoming Resident Evil would need a sure-fire way of playing. The plot would need to be one that nobody has even dared to dream of, especially not even me. The new Cast would need to be reeled in like fresh Neptunes from out of the water and into the frying pan.
However, in order to win over the hearts of classic and new Resident Evil fans, Capcom would need to return to its roots. The director would need to bring back the classic pre-rendered camera angles that were famous. before Resident Evil 4 was even released. Even the 'tank' controls that made Resident Evils 1 up to Outbreak File #2 spectacular would need to be in it. The typewriter…

I don't compare between this game and the movie. SInce this game involves about viruses which can mutate or transform into a zombie and other deadly creatures. But this virus is much grueling than a normal zombie or a C-Virus zombie alike. The Rage Virus.
In the horror British movie series, 28 Days Later until 28 Weeks Later. The Rage Virus is developed by either American or British scientists that modifies the Ebola virus with a combination of the reverse influence DNA which is similar in how they developed the Progenitor virus before developing the T-virus in the game with the same Ebola virus. These outbreaks started with Raging Chimps and Apes on humans in 28 Days Later and later other uninfected humans in 28 Weeks Later by an infected…

Anyone who's been on the Resident Evil Facebook page for more than six months will know that Resident Evil 6 is hated by True Fans for everything. Literally everything. One of the arguments which confused me the most is that the Resident Evil 6 zombies are a mockery to the franchise and to George A. Romero due to their running and use of weapons. I'll handle these two separately, along with intelligence.
Now, George A. Romero's 1968 film is uncopyrighted due to an accident he and his team made, so for your benefit here is the movie itself (I'll give you timestamps when appropriate); screenshots will be the colour versions so you can see better. Here's the colour if you really hate black-and-white. Same timestamps.
You probably see zombies as havi…

This is not a Resident Evil Wiki that stays true to itself. Case in point, most of the material indicated is not correct at all. From Barry Burton's page to Albert Wesker's, the information either; A) has the wrong quote in the form of the very first RE's Jill sandwich, of which is referenced in Revelations 2, B) The picture is incorrect, in it is from "Darkside Chronicles" and not from in game screenshot C) Data is not in the correct chronological order in Brian Irons reveals to Claire about G, or D) Everything is data from Biohazard, of which this wiki is not, although it is, I understand, what the Japanese version is called.

Hello, people of this refined wiki, and welcome to my first blog. This will be focused on the how I think the Remakes of the series should be made. As the first ever Resident Evil was already made, it doesn't need another remake if there has already been an HD Remaster release. Now a Resident Evil 2 remake can be surely made by using the gaming engine from Revelations 2, the Panta Rhei engine, I believe. The same exact storylines can be kept with maybe a few slight additions to the voice acting and placement of objects. I am getting goosebumps just thinking about every possible event. The Lickers would be scarier than they already are. Chief Irons being killed by the G-virus embryo would be terrifying. I am watching and waiting with great …

In the previous RE games, Claire's iconic look was a long auburn hair in a style of a high ponytail until in Revelations 2 before she was hospitalized as well as riding a motorcycle as a biker to find her brother Chris.
In the near end of Episode 4 in post Sushestovanie Island after she was hospitalized, she cuts her long auburn hair to short hair which resembles Alanis Morissette's look in her "Eight Easy Steps" music video before it retells all of her previous music videos in her previous albums and returns to the island to save Barry, Moira and Natalia from a further mutated Alex. Therefore, she now rides an SUV instead of riding motorcycles due to her job as a TerraSave member.

Ever since my brother plays Resident Evil 2, I starting to be afraid when I see some character gets devoured, incapacitated or more likely being decapitated by somebody else or villains in this game. So far for me either Leon or Claire being devoured by zombies especially from other creatures as well as giant alligators can bite you down in a bloody pulp.

Greetings, contributors! My most breathtaking moments throughout the series will be listed here. With the time I had to play the Resident Evils 1 to 6, I have found several moments that I found to be emotional. Be it sad, be it funny, be it jaw-dropping, these moments are those I will never forget, and the moments that I know are the best.
My first moment will have to be the Super-Tyrant-002 fight. Reason being it was probably the hardest to beat regarding the classic tank controls. This is from Director's Cut, the version I played. This moment was funny because right at the end I fired the rocket. For some odd reason, it looks at the helicopter as if to say, "Well this sucks," then body parts are all that remained.
My second would be the mo…

We all know that the Redfield Siblings, Chris and Claire have different fighting styles within the game series. Unlike the previous games, they rely on using firearms to kill zombies or other creatures.
Chris' fighting style is more focus on the punches as everyone mentions that he is a brawler type. Unlike both Leon and Jill who are also focusing on kicks, Chris can fight with punches even a more modern brawling style of fighting as seen in his appearance in RE5 where he pulls a combo on his nemesis, Albert Wesker. In Marvel VS Capcom 3 and it's his updated ones, he now uses a punch and kick combos as well as his combat knife abilities and different firearms. One of his Hypers is slashing his opponent with his combat knife several times al…

In Resident Evil Revelations 2, the main antagonist is known as "The Overseer". When examined closely, it becomes apparent that the Overseer shares many characteristics that Alex Wesker may have. This leads me to the conclusion that Alex is the Overseer. I will explain my reasoning in the following paragraphs. By the way, this is similar to my old theory, I reposted not because of your hate, but because I had considered Alex's role. XD. Seriously, you all are so impudent... Hello everyone! Today I will be sharing my theory on Natalia from Resident Evil Revelations 2 - the theory that she is in fact a superhuman.
Let me open with the fact of the sensory bracelet on Natalia is red, indicating that she is in fact mutated. I know this because of a document found in Episode 1 on Claire and Moira's section of the chapter, it indicates that when the bracelets emulate a certain colour, it means something. Note, the following:
Green: Calm/Normal
Orange: Anxiety
Blinking Red: Fear
Red: Mutation
Throughout the episodes, her bracelet glows with a solid red, it does not change at all, telling us that there's something going on with her.
Furthermore, we all know that Natalia has the power to sense Afflicted through her "sight", s…

The new deal is what the best moment is. The Please be sure to comment on what YOU believe is the best event in Resident Evil. After stating the event(s), explain why, please don't say "because I thought it was cool." Even though it is a reason I need to know what was going on in your event. The event I would have to choose is when Nemesis got knocked out by the door explosion in the news building on Resident Evil 3 because it was unexpected and funny. You aren't limited to game series, but please don't list from the Alice movies because it isn't what I'm looking for. You can list from the cgi films if you are interested. To all the interested fans, I strongly recommend (and kinda beg you) to complete the survey that Resident Evil.Net is conducting. It is fairly long but this is a great opportunity to tell Capcom (or at least someone involved in the games) HOW you want the games to be and WHICH games are the best of the series.
The survey ask about personal information and then proceeds to ask different questions about your preferences in games. Like which is your favorite game series (Call of Duty is nicely an option), your favorite genre, usage of ResidentEvil.Net, RE's games played, and, most importantly, which RE games have you played, which ones you liked, which ones you hated, why you hated/loved them, your favorite characters, why, and, most MOST impor…

Obviously I need a new PC. The current specs of REmake remastered are too high, which is weird considering they're 2D backgrounds. So yeah, those of you that bought it and can't play it, you're not alone. This is as bad, if not worse than the RE4 remaster. I'm sticking to playing the Wii port on my Wii U. At least I can play that at full speed. On the plus side, I got the official soundtrack. looks like capcom released it in .m4a format rather than mp3 (like they did with RE4's soundtrack when they packed it with RE4 HD. Cheap bastards....)
I'm not sure what their reasoning for not releasing it on Nintendo consoles was but I have a feeling it has to do with them still being pissed off at Nintendo about the exclusivity agreement. They need …

Work in progress - Latest update: December 18th, 2014 This is an on-going guide of the text characters used in the original NTSC Playstation versions of Resident Evil 2 (compiled for use with my recent and on-going edits).
This list is based off of the text sheets pulled from texture rips, therefore not all characters may be present in-game. This list also uses unicode characters that may not appear on all computers or browsers.
There are different sets of text and fonts used in Resident Evil 2. The first of which is the standard font seen in the menus, files (PS1 version), objects, and on-screen text (observations and subtitles).
The text present in-game comes in a variation of different colors. The standard set only uses 5 different colors.

So I was digging around in the files. There's a few audio files for Street Fighter characters. Chances are they were used as placeholders. They have CX_XX withCX_ XX representing a number. Not a huge deal but fun to note.
On another note, I'm ripping BGM and voices from the file 2 disc. What I've found is that the cutscenes aren't real time at all. They're prerendered. Some of you probably knew this already, but I felt it was notable.
In addition, the audio is stored seperately from the video in .adx format, a format I'm quite familiar with thanks to my experience with Sonic the hedgehog PC games, which also use it (along with numerous other games from various systems) So I ripped the audio. Just to try to do something different, I ran the c…

So, you decided to download the AutoWikiBrowser for a better and faster editing experience. Good choice.
Step 1 is pretty simple: just open up the program and examine it. Look at the UI to see what we're dealing with.
Below that eyesore is the same image, but with red rings around the things you'll actually USE.
Yeah, pretty complicated at first. Now, the default wiki is Wikipedia, so we'll need to find US.
Step 2 is to go into the "Options" menu and open up "Preferences". This little window isn't as complicated. Simply move into the "Site" tab and replace the "Project" box with "Wikia". Then add in the site's url ("residentevil") into the box just underneath. By clicking "OK", you are now focused on the right website.
