Recently on Wednesday, December 11, The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights presented the 2013 Ripple of Hope Awards Gala at the New York Hilton. The evening was hosted by television personality Stephen Colbert honoring international business leaders and advocates Muhammad Yunus, John Boyer and Niclas Matseke for their ongoing efforts in championing the causes of people in need of a powerful voice and stewardship in their struggle for basic human rights.
InTheLab had the honor of being present on the red carpet and having the opportunity to speak with Kerry Kennedy, the daughter of Robert and Ethel Kennedy. An author and tireless activist, she also serves as President of the Center. The many celebrities who came out in support of the event and the causes it represents are a tribute to Ms. Kennedy and the legacy of the Kennedy Family as a beacon of hope in the global fight to advocate for the oppressed victims of injustice. Join #InTheLab host Arthur Kade and listen in as he speaks with stars of Stage and Screen Cheryl Hines, Alfre Woodard, Matthew Broderick, Richard Kind, Charles Grodin, Diane Neal, Lorraine Bracco and Debra Winger. The sincerity of the comments and observations shared would definitely represent, in the words of Ms. Kennedy, "Celebrating the Triumph of the Human Spirit".
