Rhododendron flower was discovered in the 16th century by the botanist Charles L’escluse. Now Rhododendron is the state flower of Sikkim in India. This flower is very toxic, also the honey made from it cannot be consumed. Grows up to 10-100 cm tall. The leaves can range from 1-2 cm to 50 cm, and they can be evergreen or deciduous. You can find Rhododendron everywhere in the world except in South America and Africa. The exploration in America was caused by the partnership between Peter Collinson and the botanist John Bartram. Rhododendron species are used as food for the larvae.
