Rolls-Royce Ghost

Posted on at

The Rolls-Royce Ghost is a sumptuous saloon from the celebrated English Marquee. The moniker "Ghost" was given in honor of the iconic Silver Ghost that propelled racer Don Carlos de Salamanca to victory at the 1913 Spanish Grand Prix. The victory exemplified the effortless driving credentials of the Silver-Ghost that was sought to be imitated in the 2009 version.

The RR04 which was the design name of the Ghost was premeditated to be a much smaller, and measured realistic car in comparison to the Phantom. The Ghost was designed to cater to a lower price category; the retail price being £170,000 (US$255,000). The working model was launched officially at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. An Extended Wheelbase version was introduced in 2011
