Their first single , Sleep Walk, published in 1959 , was an instrumental piece composed by themselves with the help of his mother Ann Farina [citation needed] , which was a great success hitting number one on the charts the United States Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks. It was followed by several other singles and album tracks which collected mostly easy-listening and soundtracks.



They were very popular during the sixties and seventies , even in Italy , where , produced by Federico Monti Arduini [1] , also known as the Guardian of the Lighthouse, recorded many records and earned a gold record for their version of the soundtrack The Godfather (1972). This track is the most famous of their repertoire.



The duo broke up in 1976 but Santo Farina continued for years to perform as a soloist and making records . Santo played the steel guitar and guitar Jonny rimica .
