Sapporo Snow Festival
The Sapporo Snow Festival is a festivity that is held in every year in Japan. The timings of this festival are usually more than seven days in the month of February. The main sites or the locations of the festivity are Odori Park, Susukino, and Tsudome. In the year 2015, the festivity is going to be between 5 to 11 February.This is considered as the major and the largest events of winters. Every year, an International Snow Sculpture Contest is held during this festivity, in the Odori, where teams coming from the different parts of the country come and complete with each other. The subject of the sculptures are different in every year, at times, these teams come up with different themes that are related to any current affair, or anything else that has been in the news for a long time.
