Thanks to the Afghan Development Project, today in Herat, Afghanistan, in 5 schools, over 20,000 students are able to register on Examer educational software and improve their English, Dari, and Pashto. They can also study other subjects that are part of the Afghan Education System. Our goal is to expand this number to the rest of Afghanistan, to 1000 schools and 8 million students.
Students learn how to put their digital imprint in social media with networks like Film Annex, Facebook, and Twitter and grow their BUZZ score.
If students join the Film Annex Social Media Curriculum as writers or filmmakers, they are given specific keywords like, Building Schools in Afghanistan, Afghanistan Education, Afghanistan Economy to be used in their blogs, articles, videos, and interviews.
The Examer educational software allows Film Annex to identify the best students and award them with scholarships. The students are paid based on their BUZZ score as writers in America, Europe and the rest of the World. Scholarship winners get paid up to $40 for each blog of 300-500 words. For video and film, scholarships vary upon buzz score, audience appreciation and Film Annex editorial team. This process enables students to step into the film industry along with other professional filmmakers on Film Annex's Network. Read Film Annex success stories to find out more.
Payments are made with Mobile Money payment system as suggested by USAid and The Better Than Cash Alliance.
Afghan Students are an asset to the new economy built by digital media and target marketing for Afghanistan, Central-South Asia and the rest of the World, staring from Film Annex.
Mike Sweeney is the Managing Partner of Film Annex Capital Partners and the founder of Target Marketing Annex. In today's world, influence and thought leadership are measured by a combination of sophisticated tools including Page Ranking, Keyword Rankings, Buzz score, Klout Scores, Social Media Reach, and many more. Part of the process consists of pure strategy, defining and brainstorming topics, long tail keywords, battles and ventures to go after, calculating the percentage of success, and the timeline to achieve the success. This is how we decided to pursue keywords like Building Schools in Afghanistan. It took us 6 weeks to rank on the first page of blogs and video searches. For the long tail keywords Afghanistan Economy and Afghanistan Education, it took us 4 weeks to rank on the first page on Google Video search.
Execution is the second factor. This includes producing professional content with the right keywords and publishing them on the right platforms. Writing articles and blogs, inspiring other bloggers and writers, creating awareness and utilizing the right keywords and concepts to achieve the keyword supremacy and ranking we had planned. Producing videos and films, utilizing the best meta data to rank, the right keywords in the title, tags and description of the video or film. The execution is where we need help and it must be done by skilled writers and filmmakers; better the writer, better the filmmaker, better the results.
Due to our great work and ranking as a Professional Video Search Engine, we became collaborators with NATO TV and started promoting their content. At the end of 2011, I watched a video titled “A Businesswoman in Herat” and met Roya Mahboob who became my mentor and inspiration for the Afghan Development Project. Roya Mahboob, now Managing Partner of CITADEL of New York and CEO of the Afghan Citadel Software Company organized a team of experts:
- Heray Farzan, the FILMMAKER
- Fereshteh Forough, the WRITER
- Elaha Mahboob, the SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Together they created an incredible team that created the base for a very successful venture called the Afghan Development Project, which is a proven business model as you can read on my recent update, Afghanistan Development Project and Film Annex فیلم پیوست Business Model and Update.
Feresheth, Roya and Elaha conceived and developed the EXAMER educational software that allows us to connect thousand of students to the world wide web. Read my latest article, Women Empowerment in Afghanistan Economy, Human Rights, Government and Leadership.
We are replicating the same exact concept for the Afghan students. We select the best students and filmmakers to define concepts, strategies and execute leadership. This brings us back to the beginning of the blog where I mentioned:
