Over 150 Olive Ridley turtles and a bottlenose dolphin were found dead on Puri beach in Odisha yesterday. It is most likely that the turtles were killed after being hit by the fishing trawlers in the sea. The carcasses have been sent for post-mortem. Recently, scores of whales were washed ashore on Tamil Nadu. So, it is expected that the concerned authority would take the issue seriously.
